Default SYE questions

Is it possible to use the stock rear driveshaft yoke for the hack and tap SYE?

Can I use this yoke for the hack and tap?
http://www.jeep4x4center.com/yoke-dr...-83503388.html

I'm going to do this after I relocate my alternator to the AC bracket. and I'm wondering how to be most efficient without spending $250+ on a kit.

Look up dirtboundoffroad.com or ironrockoffroad.com, and get the hack n tap kit. You can either get the IRO kit with the yoke and refurbished driveshaft, or you can buy it with just the yoke and go to the junkyard and pull a front DS out of an 4.0 auto Cherokee. That DS will work

And I've been looking at the IRO kit. I'll just be getting the yoke- I'm getting another front DS this week or weekend.

Is there another company that makes a flange sleeve yoke? Other than the 2 companies mentioned.

Dirtbound is the cheapest ive seen for only the yoke and hardware. Rough Country also has one- looks like the Advanced Adapters SYE, its not a HNT. Rugged ridge has the same kit for $30 cheaper.

The one in your link is for an axle, Dana 30 and 44, not the t-case. There are write ups about using a Chevy slip yoke and bolting it on like a hack and tap but I have no clue where to even start looking for them. Often times a kit will be cheaper in the long run, otherwise you end up looking everywhere for this part and that and trying to get them to work together and replacing jy parts.

Just go to the junkyard and pull a front DS out of an XJ and chuck it in the rear (that's what she said), works great.

I'm curious about using a slip shaft in the rear instead of an sye kit because my xj is a limited and has a np242 for a t case but I see that streetabilty could be a large factor in my decision any help at all is much appreciated
