I am looking to upgrade my sway bar because I live by the theory, if it's broke then replace it with better. My sway bar is bent on one side, the end links are shot and all the bushings are destroyed (yes my Jeep is really squirrely on the road). So I am getting quick disconnect end links, poly bushings and I am looking for an upgrade to the stock sway bar, so, any suggestions?

 

An OEM swaybar should be fine for you if you install one with new bushings and the proper length links. They're pretty effective when the rubber parts aren't worn out.

If you do want an upgrade, the only one I know of that makes a noticable difference would be the Currie AntiRock setup:

How do I know what length end links to get, I now have a 3" lift in the front...

 

I would just measure your stock links and add 3" to that length. You want the ends of the swaybar to be parallel to the road when parked on level ground.

 

I did a 3" lift on the front, and used the Pro Comp sway links from 4wp.

To give you an idea. They were 3" longer than stock or so. Time will tell how they work. They have hourglass style bushings which I've read aren't the best.

 

It doesn't matter what kind of lift I did, right? I mean I installed spacers and not springs.

 

On a unibody vehicle like the Cherokee, it doesn't matter. Any lift affects your suspension the same way.

If you had a vehicle with a body-on-frame, such as a Wrangler, installing a body lift with spacers would not affect your suspension because the height of the frame (where the suspension is mounted) wouldn't change.

 

My Jeep is being build as a weekend warrior maybe once a month so do I need to spend the extra money on quick disconnect end links or can I get away with no disconnect ones?

 

That comes down to your usage. Do you plan to disconnect your swaybar when you go offroad? If you do, save yourself the future trouble and get QDs. If you aren't gonna disco the swaybar, don't waste the money on the feature.

Disconnecting the swaybar allows for a big increase in axle articulation. It can make a huge difference, but it depends on how hard you push your Jeep.

 

This is my first offroad vehicle ever and the first time I will ever be offroad so I do not know how hard I will push it.
