Default striping it all

What i want to do with my jeep is take out all the carpet. Because when i took it out from underneath my middle seat and found rust. So i am going take all carpet up. What i am prob going to do it put down rhino liner but that will take some time. So what i need to know is it okay to leave my jeep with no carpet for awhile as in 2 months. As long as i keep it dry it should be fine right?

I haven't had the carpet in my Jeep for about 3-4 months now, gotta wait till spring now so I can bedline the floors (after fixing the rust). Doesn't seem to cause any problems (except the cold draft through the holes while driving lol)

exposed metal is probably less likely to rust than is metal with carpet on top of it. I wouldn't worry. MAybe throw down some cheap rubber floor mats to make it less slippery and noisy while you're working on it.

I haven't had carpet in my Jeep for 4 years... It just gets wet and mildews and makes the floor rust worse. Leave it out.

i hated mine with no carpet, the floor would get so hot wheeling in the summer im sure you could cook on it... herculiner is what i used, and it is almost bullet proof i never had a problem with it, it was nice not having to worry about making a mess or ruining your carpet I just didnt like the heat.

Do yourself a favor and cut a 3 inch hole in the floor for a drain and just use a a sink drain plug to cap it. Works GREAT!

If you're worried about rust just hit it with some primer... takes about 2 sec
