Installing New Head Unit
I'm installing a new head unit on a 92 and have all the wires connected except the two power ones. I believe the constant battery is a pink wire on the Jeep but I don't know which one to run to the ACC (or the ignition). There's a orange w/ black stripe, a purple w/ white stripe, and a light blue w/ red stripe left. I've looked around and later model Cherokees like 95 and 97 say there's a red with a white stripe but I don't have that one. Please help!!

strip them back and just take a test light in put to them one at the time.
if the light goes on and off as you switch the truck on and off thats your switched wire. if it stays on thats your constant hot, for memory

I know but for some reason my test light isn't working and now all of a sudden I tried testing the orange and now my power locks stopped working. What the hell does that mean!?

Oh cool so it is probably the purple with white stripe. Any idea why the power locks stopped working?

I just had the same problem and whoever did the radio before me wired it up weird and there wasnt a constant 12v (i had to run one)
This is what i did (i dont know if its safe but i havent blown any fuses)
I hooked up LTblue/red to pink (to power the door locks and various lights in the cab.
Orange and black is tied off not connected to anything
and violet/white is stereo illumination
Again im not sure what your wiring looks like, but mine was completely messed up so i had to make do until i have money to fix it correctly

you coulda popped a fuse ... not sure if the power locks run on one but touching wires together can blow a fuse
