like what? traction bar and antiwrap perches should take care of most of the problems. I'm considering doing DIY military wrap as well

The antiwrap perches should help, I would just rather build with leafs that won't wrap and I won't have to deal with traction bars that'll be one more thing to get caught on rocks

yeah I'm not worried about it getting hung up at all. if anything it stands a chance of saving my driveshaft from slamming on a rock. I dont think this setup will have any problems with wrap either. but like I said I'll let you know

Sounds good, I like your cut on the rear fenders, pretty similar to what I want to do. Good luck with the build

oh that jeep is long gone haha. I didn't make those fender cuts either. I'll be watching to see how you stretch yours so I can get some ideas

I want a 106" wheel base, look up on the web "Project Gumby" and look at that XJ, they used a Commanche main leaf, and stretched open the rear wheel well. **** looks SICK. He is running 1 tons and pretty big meats.

I think the cutting and tubbing will be happening this weekend. I'll probably make a new build thread for it, my old one is kiddy stuff.

Last question I have has to deal with the driveshaft, obviously if I stretch the diff 4" back my driveshaft will need to be 4" longer. I don't have a SYE, just don't feel its necessary for a trail rig with only 4 inches of lift. Has anybody on here lengthened a stock rear XJ driveshaft?

Any machine shop can stretch a driveshaft for you and balance it.
