Default Stock intake delete

Hey all, I'm wanting to put a cone filter on my stock intake bc I know it'll run better w/o the air restriction. Question is what do I do with all the vacuum lines?
This is a 1990 i6 aw4 242tc

You can buy a cowl intake http://www.quadratec.com/products/17006_7100_07.htm

Why do you want to suck in hot air from the engine bay rather than much cooler and denser outside air?

The restriction in our intakes is minimal and can actually be improved upon in about 10 minutes, all while leaving a stock appearance.

If it ever sees ANY mud even puddles stay away from cone filters without some sort of splash shield. I clogged one up and almost hydrolocked my motor. Luckily it died and I pulled the filter before trying to get it to run with it wet. I was driving on the road in a heavy rain storm not even off road. Just water splashing up and catching on the filter.

Thanks for the heads up xjmarc, I'm really just wanting to gather some ides for the stock air box.
Is there an effective way to do that?
I have a plastic breather from a vett I'll post pics when I get it figured out .

5-6 3/4" holes with a unibit in the front of the air box seemed to open it up to me.
