Stock height suspension overhaul
Its time to replace my suspension. My jeep is my dd and I don't do any off roading, so I want to keep the height close to stock with at most a 1" lift. I found a set of rough country shocks that are for stock-1" lift but I was wondering if I should go with them or just go with shocks from the auto parts store. If Im going to replace, I like to upgrade if possible. Also, where can I find a set of rear leaf springs and and a complete set of rubber bushings for the suspension that are reasonably priced? All I have found is those poly bushings and Ive heard they decrease ride quality. Any suggestions/info would be greatly appreciated.

I'd replace the shocks first, then decide if you want/need to bother with the bushings. New shocks made a very noticeable improvement on my old '93.

Jc Whitney has leaf springs starting around $90 each for OE and Moog bushings for $20 a set. They also have RC shocked around $30.

In ur postion id just lift it considering ur saying u wana do everything. I understand u dont want to but thats just me. When u replace everything u might as well do front coils too. If u did those id get the HD ones their only like $5 more and also .7" taller then the stock length ones. Replacing all the shocks front coils n rear leafs would likely give u 1-2" taller then what u are depending how bad everythings worn. Id just hate to see u spend all that $ then relize u wana lift it i made the same mistake buying oem shocks n front HD coils and now im just guna do 2" shackle n spacers wishing i would have just saved and gone 3".

Thought about it. Gonna go with a 3" lift. Was thinking about rustys but Im pretty much decided on RCs series 2 3" kit with full leafs. Lots of good reviews and comments about good customer service, which is hard to find nowadays. Thanks for the comments.
