What kind of advice are you looking for?
Mark line, cut metal, done.
Why don't you make a real stubby bumper instead of cutting the aluminum foil bumper?

just out of curiosity...are the angled members behind the bumper, the things behind the horns, are they part of the structural integrity of the front end? what exactly are they?

Ordered steel today for something similar. Only difference in mine is I'm holding it out further to protect the front end more and I'm using 1.5" round tube instead of square.
I like the look of stubby bumpers, but they leave you wide open to wreck the front clip, fender corners, ect.

stubby bumpers are good for getting header panels torn off.
I can understand if you are building a bumper and ran out of time/materials/ or are just too lazy to finish it. but taking away some bumper? I do not get it.

i cut it yesterday....as short as i could.
i did it because i like the look of the stub bumpers. i made the decision for aesthetic reasons, but i can see the pros and cons of it. i wheeled it today and it was fine
