It takes some of the shock from bumps etc. away, making your steering smoother. Your jeep probably has one already. Go look for a shock looking thing attached to your steering components on your front axle. They come in single or dual configurations or more. Some peeps get crazy with them, some people don't use them at all. With a 2" lift 1 will most likely do you fine.

Ill probably buy 1 more because i dont think they were that expensive and i have about 200$ so thanks, Rob. Do you think it would be expensive to have a shop do it or should i just man up, grab some buddies and find the time?

If you have one that works already I would save your loot. But it wouldn't take you much time at all, simple bolt on installation. You won't need more than 1 of them (if ever) until you are swinging way big tires and a much higher lift.

Yeah steering stabilizers don't really do very much (lifted or stock it just takes wear off of steering components). If your doing a 2" lift then do some research about drive line vibrations and save your money for a transfer case drop or slip yoke eliminator.

Lol so when you lift your jeep your drive shaft angles get out of line and your drive shaft u joints vibrate and grind against each other creating "vibes". This can be fixed by installing a spacer between the frame and the transfer case to compensate for the lift or getting a slip yoke eliminator which will get rid of any need for specific drive shaft angles. Google it there's more than enough info out there lol. Good luck!

For a 2" lift you won't know until you install the lift and drive it. If you get vibes then you'll need one and if you don't then you won't. It's this. Just little spacers that lower the transfer case
