steering issues?
Hey I lifted my cherokee 5 inches. I moved the track bar over and it needs an alignment I havn't upgraded anything in the steering. The problem is when I hit bumps in the rode I get some sort of death wobble. If I hit s lot of bumps or a bad one it was shake uncontrollably until I slow down to about 15mph. What could be causing this?

If I were you, I would replace the following things just to be safe...
-Trac Bar (replace it with an adjustable one)
-Trac Bar Bushings
-Steering stabilizer
-Front Sway bar bushings
- Front Sway bar end links (only if you need them, inspect them to judge that)

I use this so often that now I just keep it saved... maybe I should make this my sig, or at least a link to it... I think I have copied and pasted this around 6 times today on different threads and forums
honestly most people can not tell the difference between DW, tire/wheel vibes, drive line vibes and alignment related vibes
so this is my one size fits all vibe/wobble fix it check list...
raising the truck and putting bigger tires can make issues that are already there seem more serious... it also throws angles out of whack which makes things even worse
the first thing you need to do is this
1.) identify when the wobble is present
2.) identify when, if ever the wobble is gone (expamples, below 30mph, after braking)
3.) identify what action start the wobble (examples, hard turns, speeds of 45-55mph)
4.) try to swap out your tires for your full sized spare, do this one by one, chances are you will find a bad tire
5.) jack the front end up and check for anything loose (ball joints, bolts, etc)
6.) if you have not had your caster adjusted, DO IT YOUSELF AT HOME AND SAVE SOME MONEY
http://go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoAlignment.htm
7.) follow this walk thru to do a front end alignment yourself...
http://go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoAlignment.htm
8.) have your wheels balanced

You indicated you hadn't aligned yet. My opinion is needs more caster. Add shims into the rear of the lower control arms to kick them further forward.
Check out that link on Eric's item 6, also review GoJeep.com section on caster and toe adjust as well as track bar and jeep centering. (go for 1/16 toe in).
Then review your wheels/tires balance. Is your steering damper in good shape?
Moving the stock track bar over may not be enough for 5" of lift, perhaps need to fab a bracket to stretch it over further. Besides all that a 5" lift is so cool. Room for lots of tire.
