Default Steering Dilema

I have read several feeds about the different steering issues. I can't seem to find one that meets my dilemma. I recently went to one ton steering and redid my upper and lower control arms. I will be driving down the road and sometimes the car is fine but then other times it feels like I have no control over which way my car is headed. There isn't any bump steer, and the shop I took it to said the alignment is well within standard. Also, I had to custom mount my steering stabilizer and don't know if that could be related to the issue. Is there something blatantly obvious I am missing? Or do I just need to redo the entire setup? Any advice is appreciated and I apologize if it is an obvious issue, but this is my first car and this is all still new to me. Thank You for any help or advice that may come my way. Cheers.

"it feels like I have no control over which way my car is headed."

can you explain this more? Like there's a lot of play in the steering or you turn it and it doesn't take the changes made?
