hey guys im takin the doors off my 89 two door xj and i dont know what kind of mirror to put on the drivers side to be legal what do you guys do if you go doorless

 

Mount them on the Pillars for good...Tj

 

I dont use mirrors. Frankly they can give me a ticket for it since its too much of a hassle to put one on. 3 of my rigs don't have side mirrors and One I have had for 11 years and not one problem, of course they are classics though. Your legally supposed to have a rear view mirror and one side mirror.

By the way what Datsun/Nissan do you own, I seen your screen name and was wondering.

 

yeah but what kind of mirrors do i get or put the stock ones on the pillar is there a popular after market or swapable mirror that looks good

 

08 nissan frontier 4x4 but im not swappin the mirrors off that lol

 

have you looked at the wrangler mirrors junkyard maybe get one cheap and try that good luck man

 

Nismo model frontier?

I have a 510 and a 521. Old school you could say.

 

i used to work at nissan... yeah they have nismo frontiers... 4x4 and 2x4... even have nismo altimas...

 

no mines not the nismo but my last one was i love my truck we just had a norcal meet n greet for the nissan forum im on clubfrontier.org we wheeled from ukiah ca to lakeport ca was bad a$$ im the red one

i was planning to take the doors off of my 2-door and use wrangler mirrors bolted to the a-pillar or quarter panel

i will post pics if i can find some wrangler mirrors the junkyards around here dont have shnit though i was hoping i could find something aftermarket but i got no good ideas so far

 

take a look at quadratec or JC whitney, they probably have something

 

oyu can et a basic truck miror at any autoparts store and use some round stock and angle iron to make it slide right in the top hinge. thats what i did ill try to get u some pics tomorrow
