Speakers??
Hey guys, I have had a 2000 cherokee now for a while and want to replace the sound system. The problem is I have no idea about any of the speakers, sound bars and subs. All I want is a clear sound when I play my music loud with a little bass but not necessarily a sub. I listen to mainly country, and rap lol ik its a weird combo. I don't know if I should just look on random sites for speakers Nd replace them of if I get something else lol. Also I have. Sound bar in my xj and don't know what speakers i get, if any, to replace them. I'm a noob when it comes to sound and don't know what watts or voltage has to do with it. Any info would be helpful!! Thanks guys

The link above is where I have bought a couple systems. It's the best way, especially if you don't know to get. I find with just a new receiver the stock speakers will sound much better. If you want more bass without a sub, go for a set of 6x9 in the back. You will have to do some trimming but it can be easily done.

I have a 1999 cherokee with 5.25 in 3 way pioneer speakers in the front doors and 3 way pioneer 6.5 in the back 2 spots above the trunk. These were just plug and play for me since the guy before me had aftermarket speakers, but they make adapters or you can always splice and make new connections. I didn't get much bass out of any of these, but 6x9s might however you will have to do modifications to make them fit. I had a guy install my 12 in JBL sub for me and it hits harder than some 2 10in sub setups so i'm happy with that.

I have cheapy spearkers all around.. 2- 3 1/2 in the dash, 4-5 1/2 2 ways in front door and hatch and 2 6 1/2 in the sound bar. Could use a small sub to fill out the sound..

You call Crutchfield and tell them what truck you have and they will let you know what size door speakers. I have my factory issued speakers in the cargo area of the headliner and the Kicker Brand Door Speakers from Crutchfield with the wiring harness and trim adapter and a Kenwood Excelon Stereo with a removable faceplate. Takes CDs, jack in your I-Pud or an MP3 Player. AM/FM with Sirius available and Blue Tooth compatible. The other port in the front, I just jack a 16G stubby flash drive in it and away I go! I have A LOT of music on the drive, hundreds of songs, and it takes all of about 10-15 seconds to read the drive and start playing where it left off.
I know some guys criticize these stereos because "it takes so long" for the stereo to read the flash drive, it just isn't so anymore.
I got the Kenwood, two Kicker Brand Door Speakers, wiring harness and adapter, all shipped, for just over two bills. 2000 Cherokee, too.
You won't be sorry.
