Spartan Locker Review
We got some snow here in OH. About 8in where I live. So I was alittle worried about having the spartan in the front on icy roads. Anyways this is my winter spartan review.
1. 2wd sucks! Its very apparent that the lunch box locker makes it tougher to push the front tires in 2wd. So instead of going around in 2wd I had to use 4wd.
2. 4wd worked great! The locker in the font never was unpredictable, and never caused any problems even on icy roads. Was very happy here.
3. When I can afford it the lunchbox locker is coming out and a detroit tru-trac is going in. Now don't anyone start anything! LOL But A front locker has its advantages, and disadvantages. More disadvantages for me.

Well when I purchased my Cherokee it was already sporting the Spartan locker in the front. I use my Jeep for everything. In the past 5 years it has been driven across country to AZ, CA, UT. 5 times and wheeled each time to these places. I run Detroit lockers in the rear because that was what was in the Jeep also when i purchesed it. They are a great combination and have been very reliable.

Don't forget, the spartan has grooves in the pins that use the holes in the locker halves to let you 'lock' the pins out while you assemble it using basically a paperclip
Lockrights don't have this feature, and are much harder to assemble
Not that either one is hard to install....but I have a lockright in my 88, and a spartan in my 96.
Next time, it will be spartan again for me
