Make sure you have everything you'll need to swap out a shaft. Hand tools, jack and stand, gear lube, garbage bag to drain lube into, rtv, a c clip, an axle shaft, and your spiders.
Make sure you know how to do the swap the easiest way possible.
With a couple of friends helping it is about a 40 minute job, maybe less with more experienced guys.
