Yeah its on the swing out arm you still gotta buy the bumper under it also. The cheapest tire carrier bumper i trust to use is smittybilt and its 800 bucks and has some problems. The rest are well in over a grand but worth it to me.

If you're planning on having anything hang off your bumper or anything that requires support from the bumper, I HIGHLY recommend using something like Nates bumper tie-ins like this:

http://www.nates4x4.com/Retro_fit_In...tie-in_xjr.htm

Otherwise you're rear bumper section will most certainly crack. Ask me how I know.

Yeah for sure. Also, a regular frame-mounted receiver hitch would work best, though you loose a little departure angle

I scrape the *** over everything with my nates tire carrier. I hate it. Bumper sticks out just a little further than I like. Honestly, I hate carrying a tire on the back. It's a lot of weight and leverage bouncing around but there's nowhere else convenient to put a 35. Roof mounting is not an option at all and I like having my back seats.
