Just looked at a 1993 jeep Cherokee the guy has 2 inch aluminum spacers he said that the inline 6 gets hot in the back. What's going on?

They get hot all around, lol.
The hood-rise is a common modification but 2" is excessive. I run 3/8".

First off WELCOME to the Forum!

I wheel mine pretty hard off road and even in the Summer with the AC running my electric fan very seldom kicks on, usually only while climbing up one of the mountains here.

If your cooling system (stock) in in good working order you should not need anything else spacers/vents aftermarket (non-stock) radiators, water pumps aren't needed.

Good upkeep on your XJ pays off in many ways if you follow them.
