i have a 4 door xj with only 2 front door speakers and need some help on how i could place more speakers without having to place boxes or bulky pods. has anyone installed oversized speakers on the doors like 6 1/2 instead of the stock 5 1/4?

Just put 6 1/2 in mine the other day most of them will fit just fine. I'm looking for another place to put some for when I go doorless

 

I have always put 6 1/2 in my front doors. They fit flush. I have heard that sometimes you might have to trim the cut outs though. Maybe find a soundbar to add another set with?

 

I had to go with 6.5 shallow mount. Regular 6.5's hit the window bracket.

i have those kick panel enclosures and like them. they tak up more foot space than id like and were too pricey but i like them alot more than the other options out there for doorless tuneage
