Default Sound system issues

Wired in a small amp and 12 inch kicker comp brand new alternator and 1 month old optima yellow top rode around listened to it turned off radio about 2 miles from house so not to **** anyone in the subdivision off and the battery was dead the next morning

Looks like you gotta check for parasitic draw.

Check your battery to make sure it is indeed good. DO not assume because it was good yesterday it is still good today. A cell can short out ANYTIME it wants.

Disconnect your new items one by one while testing... when the load disappears... you know which new item is your problem.

I know the batteries good disconnected the amp and no more problems however when the trucks off the power light on the amp is also its not acting like there's any draw from it but there is?

I know you said the altinator is new have you had it tested sometimes they dont always work

You're saying the amp is off when the truck is off?

Correct yet it's still draining the battery disconnect amp no problem hook it back up battery drain.

Without messing with it myself I can't tell ya. Just make sure it's turning off completely when you turn the key off.

Next time you plan to let it sit pull the fuse out of the main power wire to the amp and see if it still drains the battery.

No fuse lol I think I found the problem the terminal that connected to the battery post was cracked.
