You run things to circuit breakers in your house? These provide similar functionality to fuses. If you were unaware of this, you shouldn't be an electrician.

The remote wire needs to go to a switched power lead. If the lead is not off when the car is off then your amp will stay on and drain the battery.
IIRC the red wire behind the hu is the switched one, the yellow is constant 12v.
Also, some HUs have a lead for the remote wire specifically.

In car audio no they have fuses in the amp and I haven't had a problem with them in the past five years and I got the battery drain fixed though thanks

Not arguing with you but the fuse in the amp is there to protect the amp.

The fuse in the wire is there to protect the wire and prevent a pretty sparkle fire when the wire grounds out.
