Default Softer springs

2000 XJ
3" Rustys lift adda leaf

I find that the springs seem stiff. Are there easier riding springs that will keep this thing from riding like a little red wagon?

Thanks

I would use a oem leaf setup in the rear and longer shackles with a relocation bracket and use spacers on the leaf perch to correct the pinion angle.

The rear seems ok. The front springs are really stiff.

What shocks are you using? Socks play a large role in ride comfort.

Which front springs did you specify with the lift? It looks like they offer standard and HD springs in that kit. Perhaps you went with the HD, which would be better suited for a winch bumper, etc.... If you are not running the extra accys. expect a harsh ride...

When I was running a rustys kit I though the front was too soft..
Sounds like you got the HD coils which are 180lb..the regulars are 130 adn are supah cushy.

The hydro shocks suck *** too.

Bought jeep with lift on it. They are the HD springs. I called Rustys.

I do plan to add a winch bumper and winch. So I guess I might better wait and see what it rides like afterwards.

The shocks are white. Not sure what they are

I run the Rustys front springs the HD 180# ones as I have a winch bumper and winch. I ordered it that way and glad I did when I finally added my winch to the bumper about 100# in the front. It rides much better now plus I upgraded to better shocks.
