Default loose and oblonged track bar hole

1997 xj 4wd 4.5" rc lift. Trac bar was relocated and the hole has been wallowed out. Had anyone drilled it out a tad bigger and used a bigger bolt? What size is best? What kinda bolt do i need?

We upgraded to a RE1660 track bar and that one has you drill out the axle side hole to 1/2"

Drill it out to a 1/2 bolt, and install a hd washer on said 1/2 bolt. Weld said washer to axle. Problem solved for good.

Gotta love those weak ***** mounts. The problem then is on the back side where its difficult to get to the nut for tightening. I've up sized mine to an M12 (0.47") and its already wallowed out again. You might want to consider laying on another piece of 1/8" to give the bolt more material to push against if welding on an aftermarket mount is out of the question.
