Hey guys im looking to put a snorkel on my rig and im looking for feed back on the 2 types cowl and the traditional witch is better and some pros and cons my rig is a dd so keep that in mind thanx

I vote for the cowl on a daily driver. the full snorkel is cool on a trail rig but in my opinion look a little goofy on the street and if you're really in water that deep you got other problems anyway

snorkels are not for getting in that deep. it is insurance for when you go in over your hood.
i prefer the a pillar snorkels over the home made do it yourself cowl versions, cause if you do get a rush of water up the hood to your windshield, it would be like pouring a bucket into your intake.

Now the only worries i have wit a cowl is rainwater it does get in there and as far as the safari style price and looks kinda detour me from that style

with that said if you go up above the windshield line in standing water its gonna get in the intake it will also be filling your interior through the vents

and depending on the cowl style you choose, it can also clean up the engine bay.
