Skid plate mounting bracket rubs against drive shaft

As indicated in the title - I just installed the full front skid plate from Rusty's (this one: http://goo.gl/O375Mf) and the mounting bracket that goes above the drive shaft rubs when I brake hard or go over a bump on the freeway. You can actually see on the driveshaft where it rubbed. Pictures here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?...00&usp=sharing).

I just checked their website and they don't mention minimum lift height or axle types but I'm almost positive that you need a bit of lift to clear the driveshaft. And a bit more if you have an LP30 upfront. (Or it might be more lift needed if you're running an HP axle.)
Edit: I think the lift height requirement is to clear the exhaust downpipe, not the axle.
