Yesterday I noticed my brake pedal was a little soft on my 99 xj. So started looking around and noticed a leak in the brake piston on the rear driver side. Replaced the piston, bled the line, topped off the reservoir and all seems fine. However, the little brake light on my dash is now lit up and wont go off. I have driven and tested brakes. I have checked brake fluid level. All seems good but light staying on. Will it turn off on its own? Does it have to be reset? Thanks

 

Bleed all four wheels when the pressure equalizes the switch will center and lamp will be off. If it has ABS it's a little more involved.
