Fuel tank leak
Hey .. i have a 91 xj..lately i swaped my fuel sending unit..but when i refueled it leaked pretty much.. so i changed the rubber seal.. still leaking
its properly installed..any other solutions? Is there any kind of silicone that wont get affected by gasoline ?? Pls helppppp

Do not use any kind of sealant on the fuel pump o ring. You may have some dirt or crud around the sealing portion of the tank. I like to blast that area with compressed air before removing the pump, then clean the sealing area with a clean rag. I then use Mercury Marine multipurpose grease to lube the sealing area and o ring. That method works very well for me.
