Default DOH!!! No front drive train

Oh call me stupid!! I just bought my second jeep yesterday. Its. 93 gc laredo. Its been a few years since i owned my last one and apparently i know not nearly enough. I knew this jeep was gonna need work. I got it for 900. He was asking 1800. I shouldve known better. I had my boyfriend with me checking it out and we both looked under the jeep. But neither of us realized the front drive train was completely gone. It drove home and tranny seems good. But it is clunky. Mechanic was all its gonna ve 1000-1500 and u may as well get a whole new front end. Well u live and learn. Im not afraid to fix myself. Ive done work on my last jeep and many other cars and yes Im a girl 😜 . So I need to know from u guys what years and makes can I interchange with this so when I go to the salvage yard I can get the right one. I attached pics. Thx for the help!

Edited to add pics which i couldnt load earlier. I did call heep and find out 91-93 will work for my jeep.

What do you mean by "gone"? 93-98 will bolt in, but you have to make sure the gear ratio is the same as the rear axle.

Also missing. Some young adults owned this. And a bunch of unhonorable ones. I texted them to ask if they knew it was missing and perhaps they might have it still? I didnt even say a word about how they ripped me off for my money. Cuz I accept my own stupidity to not check better. Least he could do was reply yes or no. Rude. They dont deserve to be jeep enthusiats. {end rant } I called about 20 junkyards today and maybe one will have a 93 jeep with some parts and its in ontario a 2.5 hr drive for me. Well luckily Los angeles is full of scrap cars.

Finding a front axle and drive shaft for that is like shooting fish in a barrel. It's also very simple to replace. An afternoon, basic hand tools, a jack and jack stands, and a friend is all it takes.

You can replace the axle for less than 500 bucks if you and a friend do the work.

I realize i meant driveshaft not drivetrain now Ive never really dealt with anything on the lower half of my vehicles so excuse my lameness lol. So how do i know the front replacement driveshaft is the same gear ratio? Ive been watching youtube and learning more Tho my jeep drives im really afraid to drive it cuz it sounds so clunky. I cant be sure what else is wront with the front end and that stupid mechanic made me paranoid. He said it isnt safe to drive but everyone else says u dont really need the front driveshaft unless u need 4x4. But i think what the mech said was since that yoke is missing the grease would be leaking out? Something to that effect. Does that sound right at all?
