Question Skid Plate Bolts 1997 XJ

Howdy Cherokee forum users, I was wondering if anyone could direct me to the right size bolts to hook up my new gas tank piece, http://www.genright.com/ProductInfo....ductid=GST3003
the instructions imply you should already have the bolts, but I am converting from a stock gas tank and I don't think the original j hook system would suffice for this 130lb piece. From what I've read I believe I need a hex flange head M12X1.75X40.00, but I could only find them at $5 a piece, so some assurance would be appreciated, much obliged

You need the bolts that are used to mount the trailer hitch along with the nut strips that go into the frame. I'm not sure on the bolt size.

If you can't find any local let me know. Going to the junk yard this weekend and could pick some up for you for price of shipping to you only.

I think that bolt is used in a couple of different places on our XJ's. Parts manual says, "BOLT, Hex Flange Head, M12x1.75x40".

Let me know.

That's really expensive gas tank. And u don't want to spend $5 on a bolt?

Just buy some JCR nut strips.

It's not that I don't want to spend $5 a bolt, I just want to make sure I'm getting the right piece.
