Default Another No Start Cherokee

I've searched and searched and read and read and done every thing, I think, so here is the story:

1992 Cherokee Sport, 4.0L HO, auto, 4x4, 200K., IDK previous history.
Cranks excellent, rarely occasionally fires one cylinder, more occasionally when switching from start to run will poof out the intake, 135-150 psi compression, 39 psi fuel pressure, injectors get proper signal, good hot spark out of the coil, checked CPS, swapped CPS, checked cam position sensor, swapped distributor, checked grounds, checked connections into PCM, swapped PCM from another '92 with manual trans, checked valve timing is in spec, distributor timing is correct, checked timing with timing light #1 fires correct position BUT appears to lose spark after several revolutions then sparks intermittently even tho coil puts out good, some crank tests seem to show timing goes way off also occasionally; still no start.

Need more ideas!

Maybe try some starting fluid through the throttle body. While that's open, see how clean it is, make sure there are no blockages from the air box. Have you confirmed plug wires and injector leads are in the correct order?

With duct from air box off tried gas and starting fluid, no change. Have checked spark plug wires and order, changed cap & rotor. Checked one injector for signal. Best result was after I had put oil into cylinders for part of the compression check, it ran for a couple of seconds but was very rattly noisy. Ran? Well, continued to turn over on its own with out the starter.

Well, it started today. Rechecked the crank and cam position sensors, still good,tried to start it and it fired more than it had, kept trying to start and the more crank cycles I gave it the more firing it did ill it finally sputtered to life! Didn't sound too bad either, cept at idle speed it was really rattley towards the bottom end. Pulled the pan and put new rod bearings in, old ones were 75-100% into the brass on the top shell and the bottoms were just getting into the brass. What made it run? I don't know, except it seems like it suffered from an extreme case of flooding.
