I'm in the process of ordering shocks. I'm looking at bilsteins:
Front 24-185943
Rear 33-066868.

They're said to be for 5-6" lift... What are the risks of running a longer shock? I have a 4" skyjacker lift with 1.5" pucks in the front as well.

From bilsteins site, there isn't much but yellow ugly shocks for a 4".

if you run a longer shock, when installed they will be compressed, and may bottom out when hitting a bump.

Order the correct shocks for your amount of lift to avoid bottoming them out or yanking the eye off.

Here is lengths from bilsteins catalog. If I have 4" in the front with 1.5" pucks, I should be fine with the larger shock. And give me almost 4" more travel. (In the front)

5.5" Extended Compressed

Front 24-185943 28.44" 16.97"
Rear 33-151663 25.93" 15.91"

4"
Front 24-188197 24.67" 14.98"
Rear 33-066868 23.84" 14.88"
