I have now completed swapping '00 WJ power seats into my '98 XJ that came equipped with a power driver's seat only and manual recliners on both. The WJ seats are a very nice improvement, they are very comfortable, both seats move well using the original bases on the WJ seats, but I have lost the reclining function. I'm wondering what the best way would be to supply power up to the recliners. The WJ power seat switches are all one unit for the base and recliner, and as I am using the original base and corresponding switch, I'm curious what others have used for the recliners. I was thinking of using the separate WJ lumbar rocker switches for aesthetics, or just generic rocker switches, but still not sure how to wire them up correctly, i.e. where to pull the power from, how to run it to the existing lumbar switch connectors and then to the recliner motors, and whether or not the seats need to be on separate circuits . . . I know it's a lot of questions, but I know there a lot of folks on here who have done this conversion, are WAY smarter than me and would have some quality insight. I am completely open to any and all experiences and/or ideas. Thanks so much in advance!
