Default Rough country Track bar?

Ive gone through two stock track bars so far and I just ordered my 4.5" lift with leaf packs and I need a new track bar bad so what about using this http://roughcountry.com/jeep_xtras_1079.html it uses a heim joing rather than that wimpy ball joint and it says that it requires using a drop pitman arm. So is the RC track bar worth my time I really dont have too much money to spend and I want a track bar that uses a heim joint rather than a ball joint Im tired of replacing these stupid things. So whats my best options here boys?

I would personally spend the extra dime on a double shear track bar that comes with the new bracket. And dont go with rough country track bar.. its smaller than alot of other similarly priced track bars. I have the rusty's double shear on my rig and like it so far, but dont really have enough experience with it to vouch for it just yet. The two most popular track bars from people on here is usually the Iron Rock Offroad double shear or the Rubicon Express double shear.

Not to my knowledge. The rustys double shear and bracket i have is very similarly made to the IRO double shear and bracket and i have no need for a drop pitman arm at 4.5" of lift.

I would go with a double shear for the added strength.

pitman arm will be determined by how long the double shear bracket is. it should be the same length as stock unless it says otherwise. you can always call and ask to make sure. you shouldn't need a drop pitman. I wouldn't count on an RC track bar being a good product. theres a few places on your jeep where you should spend extra money. track bar is one of them

On Iron rocks website they say t has a 3/4 inch drop on the bracket.

I just ordered the rubicon express track bar and bracket, only because from what I have read and researched. The bracket leaves the track bar at the stock location. If I remember correctly is 5" from the bottom of the uni-body rail.

I did not want to run a double sheer track bar that requires a drop pitman.

Don't need a drop pitman with IRO's DS bar. At least I didn't at 3.5", and I've never heard of anyone else needing one.

I have the RC balljoint stlye TB. I put about 200 miles on it and the boot started to crack allready....REALLY????. The sad thing is, i had the track bar for over a year before i installed it. it was sitting in my spare room.

I called and they wouldn't replace the joint. which i kind of understand. I mean how do they know if i'm lieing or not. well i told Jason that i could email him a link to the thread i posted about my lift finally being installed. which was November 2012.

He didn't want to hear it because basically it would be impossible for him to get the company that makes the BJnt to warranty it. So whatever. All this means is I'll be buying a new $30 Moog joint.

So theres my 2cts.

Get the Rubicon Express track bar and bracket from Serious Offroad. Around $160-170 for both plus shipping.
It's what I'm running on my Cherokee and I have no complaints.
