Default questions on a 4.6 stroker

Ok so im looking at getting a used stroker from a guy. It was built back in 2002. And now has roughly 80,000 on it. Which isent bad I dont think. I was built by a shop so it was done right. Runs great. going to do a compression test test on it to see how it is.

My question is, he used a Renix block and head. Will I have any problems with dropping it into my 98? It should just bolt right up to my AW4 and be good. Wiring harness and all should just plug and go yes? Or am I wrong here? Let me know if im missing anything or f it wont just drop right in.

The exhaust ports should line right up with your header. Your intake will not. You will need to lay a 98 intake gasket over the renix head and port the head to match. Then take a renix intake gasket and lay it over your 98 intake. Port the intake to match. Be careful here to leave enough sealing surface on the bottom of the intake runner.

OP, You'll be fine. The Renix block is actually AMC blocks. Very strong. All Chrysler really did was change some electronics and accessories. I have a 4.9L stroker from an 258 block with an 87 4.0L head.

What cam are you using. When stroking an engine you need a higher duration to compensate for the increased bore size. Too much lift and not enough duration will choke the motor. Also did you upgrade the injectors for better fuel delivery or change the fuel filter? Lastly, strokers aren't supposed to be for speed but more for increased torque.
