I bastardized from a couple of companies. I went with the Defender rack mounts and a Smittybilt roof rack. I loved the Defender rack but I'm not spending $500 on a roof rack. The Defender mounts are top notch. The Smittybilt rack had some issues but nothing too frustrating. Some of the screw holes didn't line up exactly so I had to drill a couple of my own holes. I couldn't beat the overall quality for the price though. The rack is aluminum and claims a 250 lb. weight limit and measures 50 x 70. Perfect size for the XJ. I took off the factory cross bars so there's no plastic up top anymore.....and I'm out
