Default Which rock sliders

I'm looking at sliders from Affordable Off Road. I have a choice of weld in or bolt on. I like the bolt on because they bolt to the unibody frame rails (an oxymoron I know...) Will two steel bars that bolt into this kinda thin metal offer much in the way of structural support? I like the weld in because they replace my rockers (Michigan. rotted bad.). They also give me more ground clearance on the sides because the bolt ons go under the rockers. I'm leaning towards the weld in's but wanted to ask here before pulling the trigger. My Cherokee is an overlander which will be wheeled fairly hard, but not Moab hard.

Thanks

If your rockers are already rusted out, that seems like an easy decision.

If you do bolt-ons, you want ones that incorporate the pinch seam.

Curious, I'm trying to find a set that,,,
A) bolts to the pinch points (my XJ is rust free)
B) bolts to the uni body frame with decent self tappers
C) Reasonably priced
D) already powder coated,,if possible
E) DO NOT SIT LOW!!!!
Yeah,, I'm asking for the world,, i know,, but there are so many styles out there, hard to choose. I saw some (I think Smittybuilt) that has bolt heads sticking out right where rocks could rip them out,,,UGH,,
THANKS

JCR.
Coat them yourself.
You won’t be disappointed.

I have the JCR also. I had them powder coat them though.
Sit up tight to the rockers. Work well, really strong, and look great too!
