Rock slider question
+I plan on building some rock sliders for my 98 and everyone is talking about bolting to the pinch seem but mine is smashed up pretty good. Is there any need for the extra support or could I get away with just 3 rail tie ins per side? I plan on using 2x4 for the sliders and 2x2 for the tie ins. Not sure what I'm going to use to bolt them yet. probably 3/8 for the side and bottom of the unibody rails and bolt them on

You'd rather lose clearance, ok. Bolting to the pinch seam helps tie it to the body so you don't smack the slider up into the rocker panel if you come down on it hard.

I zipped in tnt stiffeners and then welded my sliders to the stiffies. Rock solid. Check out the pics in my album. Well worth the price of admission in my opinion
