Default Retrofit HID problems

Alright, I know this is frowned upon by some people, but I purchased some retrofit HID's from this website, (forgot the name of the maker) awhile back, and they've since started to become quite troublesome.

At first, they would just randomly not turn on... I looked up everything and it seemed like a faulty ballast - after replacing both ballasts, it still happened.. and sometimes when wiggling the connectors from the wiring harness to the ballast connectors, they would turn back on. So, i went and replaced the harness > ballast connectors, and still, randomly, they will turn off. I then replaced the entire wiring harness and STILL, same problem.

I'm wondering if I'm missing something or if it could be my bulbs going out? or the connections from the bulbs or something? When the lights turn on, they're both fully bright and work perfectly. However, sometimes they just don't like turning on. I'd really like to get these to work, one because they cost me some serious money and two because my stock headlights just aren't cutting it.

If anyone has any ideas on what the problem is or what I can try and do, please let me know, I'm open to anything.

Lmao. You are a lot more tolerant than I, after the very first time that cheap, chinese, cut rate mess would have been taken to the curb. Headlights are....... um ......... necessary.

Autopal H-4 plus a harness FTW.

Did you properly aim the Autopals? They beat the crap out of any sealed beam. Retro fit HIDs are just ebay garbage, save your money for fuel and rubber.

I did, I just feel like the whitish light beats the yellowish light of the autopals. the retro fit ones I have are pretty high quality, they aren't the crappy ones that blind everyone driving.

Name the products you used please. I'm utterly unforgiving of people who cut corners on HID retrofits and feel I need to know exactly what you're working with to offer any help anyway.
