Default Replacing RC 2.0 with Bilshtein 5100

Good morning guys. Im on 4.5" RC lift kit with 2.0 shocks, they are very stiff on trail and I feel the jeep falling apart.
After reading some post seems the 5100 bilshtein are the favorite of most trail riders.
I intend to install IRO long arm upgrade in the future so which ones should I buy. Parts numbers are needed.
Thank you

The easiest way? Go to the IRO website and get them 4.5" shocks.

Tony when you install the long arm kit the travel distance will change and so will the shock length required in the front. The rears should remain the same though but the best way is to measure the distance of the droop and up travel to get the proper shock length.

I was lucky to have someone to help me measure to get the proper ones for mine, all XJ's are not alike. Hopefully one of the mods who can steer you correctly will help you to do this, as I know your location and exchanges are not easy.

I have the RC N20 shocks on my MJ. I like them but will admit they are stiff due to being Gas charged instead of Hydro. For a passenger vehicle like the XJ, you would be best with a Bilstein or similar. Me, I drive a truck so of course it's going to be stiff.

I just installed the 2.2 shocks on my XJ and the ride is much stiffer than my JKU with Bilstein 5100s. Just my 2 cents I'd go with the 5100s for sure.

You're comparing the ride quality of vehicles 20 years apart? Interesting haha.

I will go for IRO ultimate ride 5" set with double shear adjustable TB.

By the way just touched the front bump stop and half of it felt into the coil plus 1 of the rear is missing.

About to order a pack of hockey puck, an Omix Ada snubber 18280.09, a daystar KJ09114BK or KJ09101BK ? Which daystar for the 1994 please?
