Default Replacing air box for snorkel filter

After researching options, this looks like to be the best setup. I was wondering how these products look and if it's my best option.

Filter:
http://www.spectreperformance.com/se...x?prod=HPR9833

Filter housing:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/spe-9833/reviews/

I'm pretty sure that housing will work since it looks identical to the one off the Spectre site, http://www.spectreperformance.com/se...aspx?prod=9833 but it's cheaper on Summit..

I'm going to cut a hole into my engine bay where my snorkel lines up and route it in that way, since my 92 used a hose in the fender well and it kept coming off and I feel like any flex will just keep doing that.

Summit and Jegs both are great places to buy from plus they price match and have free shipping, have been using both for a very long time for my race cars.

There are other options. You don't have to put allot of money into the project to achieve the same thing. Here's a link to what I did. Good luck and have fun.

OK, cool. Then I'll place my order when I get paid. Summit is great and now that I moved further south, my packages come really fast! haha

So the Spectre inline filter arrived and it looks sweet!

So can I cut a 2.25'' hole in the engine bay that lines up with the fender hole and route it like a 96+ snorkel? I don't want to run a hose inside the fender well since it constantly falls out when flexing..

You mean this one I got lucky and picked it up on eBay from someone who never installed it. It was very easy to install and all the parts are high quality. A bit loud but it's a jeep And having the radio on you can barely hear it. And no it doesn't affect the air conditioning and it doesn't suck in water at all. Also my gas mileage went up a bit from 13 gallons giving me 160-170 miles to 200-210. I do drive with a light foot though. :P

What is the little baby filter for that comes off the valve cover? It's just to the left of the bigger air filter. It's all full of oil and crud

That's your pcv it should be attached to your intake I believe. I'm not sure how your year they routed it because if you see the pic of my engine compartment it's a bit different.
