Heat, hammer, oil, repeat until it comes off. Also, are you reusing the same pitman arm when going back together? If not, you can drill three holes perpendicular to the shaft and it will usually come apart sometime in the process of drilling the holes.

If you didn't break that puller then you didn't have it tight enough.

Try again but get mad at it.

I realize you already got it but here's my input.

I tried everything everyone mentioned here and a few fancy tactics I thought would work when doing my lift last year. After about 2 hours I gave up and took an angle cutter to the pitman and cut until it was almost all the way through then took a chisel and put it into the cut and whacked it twice and the whole thing fell off.

The above is only my route I took. Not recommended if your not caddy with a grinder and if you want to reuse your pitman.

Trust me I pondered this several times but was planning to reuse my pitman. I just hope its not as hard to get on ad it was to get off.

It's a peice of cake getting on :-) they only go on one way and then put the nut on. I suggest using some emery cloth or sandpaper and some never seize.

Yeah I plan on putting the never seize on there....but I will probably never have to take it off again.
