regear ?'s
So I'm going to 4.56 in the near future, what I want to know is do I have the correct list of parts
For the rear:
4.56 ring and pinion
Bigger carrier
Install kit(pinion bearings,crush washer,shims ect)
Front:
4.56 pinion
Lockright locker
Bigger carrier
Install kit
I've read that Lockright lockers replace the spider gear, but I'm not sure and want a positive answer
Please let me know if I'm missing anything or might come into any problems putting these into a dana 35/hp30 combo.
Thanks in advance!

If I can find a Dana44 out of an Xj or a c8.25 that'd be my dream, but maybe I can sell the d35 off my jeep to fund a junkyard 44.
Would I need a bigger carrier for a d44? Or c8.25?

8.25 doesnt have a carrier break. so no
I believe D44 has 3.73/3.92 break so yes you will need a carrier
8.25 is so easy to find and bolts right up and will handle plenty. definitely put your money in anything other than a D35

Go to the pick n pulls and grab yourself a 8.25. There are a bunch in the general area that you're in. Also, yes, a lunchbox replaces the spider gears.

stock carriers are a weak point in the 88. I'm using a full case detroit and would'nt use anything less. I'd weld it before buying a lunchbox. I prefer aussie or spartan. it's a tossup really get whatevers on sale. hit up robert at rwkhaussupply for a spartan. be sure to weld your tubes to the housing. 3/4 of the way around should do it
