Rear spring rebuild centering pin questions
I'm rebuilding my rear springs after having the centering pin shearing on the trail a few weeks ago. I reassembled the springs and realigned the centering holes. This shows where I am currently in the rebuild (I know the centering pin is upside down but it was the easiest way to get the leafs aligned):
My question is to clarify whether or not I should bore out the hole in the spring plate attached to the axle (yellow circle) to match the size of the centering pin head (red circle)? Is there anything else I need to consider in putting everything back together?
Thanks,
Nate.

Put the bolt in a battery drill and spin the bolts head opposite direction your bench grinder spins and grind the bolt to the size of the hole in the spring perch.

I just did a bastard pack this weekend with s10 leafs and RE 3/8" center pin. I didn't redrill the spring perch and when I was putting it back together I was worried about it not fitting because it didn't just fall into place but once I torqued the ubolts down it went right in like it should.
