rear discs
I just swapped my rear drums for discs off a 96 zj. I changed the internals from the zj prop valve over to my xj. I made sure I had every spot of air bled from the entire system but it seems like my rear brakes don't grab that well. Pedal is good and stiff but just doesn't seem as strong as before. Any fix for this? Maybe swap the zj master also?

so your saying you used the zj valve but used the xj internals. what would be the point of changing the valve then. you need the zj valve and internals or at least the zj internals into the xj valve. In the end the rear needs more pressure now for the discs.
Also i think the zj master cylinder has a larger bore.

Braking is primary done 70% by the fronts, and 30% by the rears. So long as the pedal is good and tight, I wouldn't worry too much. Mind you, I haven't done the conversion yet. I've heard it is noticeable. But my ZJ and my XJ seem to brake about the same IMHO.
