Default 99+ intake on 96

I have a 96 XJ 4.0 HO. I wanted to upgrade to a 99+ intake and since I was at it I would do the injectors and TB as well. I wanted to know if the 784 injector will work on this setup and do I need a 96 TB or a 99+ TB. I also have an aftermarket header on right know and was wondering if there is going to be any fitment issues with the 99+ intake.

The intake will bolt up to the head just fine. The TB are all the same size through the years. The 97 and up TB use different sensors so you will need to use your 96 TB. As for the injectors do a search because i believe the 784 are for the 97 and up xj. You will have to extend a few of the vacuum lines for the new intake. If you need more explanation then do a search, there are alot of wright ups out there.

I have done my research and could not find anywhere if I need injectors for my 96 wiring harness or for a 99+ intake. Thank you for clearing up my other questions

The injectors are the same size from 91-01. The only difference is the electrical plug. You can use your stock 96 injectors or the neon injectors as i did and they will all bolt in the same.
