Default Question on lift

Im gonna order a 3.5 Rubicon lift and was wanting to run a set of 32x11.50x15 tires on it I have a set of 15x8 wheels with 4 bs. I know I'm gonna have to do trimming but how much? I mainly drive on the road but when I go off road it's just in fields

youll fit fine. Rubicon express is notorius for giving more lift then advertised. You will probably get 4.5 inches. You will probably need an sye as well.

tow woods or adams driveshaft if you want a custom one...you could also use a stock front driveshaft

I just finished a RE 4.5 inch superflex kit and PORC SYE last weekend and used a stock front drive shaft. Buy good lock ring pliers.

If you aren't near a junk yard, you can buy them on ebay. Mine was $70 bucks, which is probably a little more than a yard would charge, but it was delivered to my house without issue. Had to buy grade 8 mounting hardware (5/16'-24x1.25") - cost maybe 3 bucks.

I just picked my RE 3.5 inch lift. Here is my 2001 XJ sitting on 30x9.50r15. As a reference if you measure to the top of my drivers door handle it reads 47.5 inches. I do need a SYE with this lift as I have some driveline vibration. I should have that in next week.

Probably is in the rear. When I did mine, it sat at 5.5" in the rear with stock shackle boxes and 1" longer shackles. Now with no lift relocation boxes and one leaf removed, its now at 4.25". My front sits at 4.25" with the 3.5" springs as well.

I highly doubt you will need to do any trimming at all

I used re 3.5" in the rear and used spacers withsome 3" skyjacker coils I got for free to level it out.

ended up with damn near 5" even with a full size spare, custom sub box and a good amount of tools in back.

I run 265 70 17s with no trimming on jk wheels with 1.25" adapters. The tires are equivalent of most 32s at 31.7 diameter although a thinner.

hope that helps.
