so my jeep has a death wobble, it only happens around 40-50 on the speedo. and doesnt do it all the time, and sometimes is worse than others. i dont understand it. lol. if anyone could help me out that would be awesome. i still have the stock steering stabilizer, which im getting soon. trac bar bolt is tight also. btw what steering stabilizer do you guys recomend?

The steering stabilizer isn't going to fix anything...

You need to get under the front while someone moves the steering wheel and look for loose stuff.

all steering stabilizers are good for is hiding death wabble while it destroys your steering, and wears out suspension components

Did u check the tires for a broken belt?

Do a dry steering test with a friend if that checks out OK then Jack up the front wiggle the tires by hand to see if there is play on the ballbjoints also put a barbunder the tires and see if they move up and down also check ur balance make sure ur tow is set no more then 1/8"

well the tires are fairly new (only about 1500 miles) so i dont think its that, and about two weeks again me and my dad checked the ball joints and wheel bearings and they were fine. so im not sure, and i want to get a steering stabilizer anyway. it really stared happening when i rotated my back tires to the front.

If your tires are that new I don't think it's a broken belt but it could be that they forgot to balance a tire or one of the weights fell off. I would take it to where you got your new tires and ask them to balance the front again.

I switched tires to a wider set and I have no death wobble at all.

Granted I have seen death wobble with very wide tires.

I have heard with a slight toe out it helps

I pretty much have a similar set up as you and had the occasional problem. Fixed it with an Ironman heavy duty looking track bar. You have to make sure all your front steering components are tight, tires balanced, alignment done correctly and axle angle also right.

alright, well i have the HD track bar, 1 ton tie rod and 3/4 ton tie rod ends. i might end up bring my jeep over to the tech school i go to and balance them.
