Call me cheap, but I don't want to fork out $1000 all at once for a lift. If I piece together a lift over a month and a half or so, will I be spending a lot more money?
Are FULL kits usually put together at a slight discounted price over piecing one? I can deal with spending about and extra $100 or LESS by piecing it together, which sounds counter intuitive, but having the cost spread out over a few weeks makes me feel better about it hahaha...
I could also do it in maybe 3 total purchases rather than 5 or 6 if it would make a difference. Instead of buying 1 piece at a time, I could buy 2 or 3 pieces at a time.
I'm not taking shipping into account because I live in Colorado and I have several places I can go and buy parts from the counter. And with so many companies and parts options, its hard to get a real accurate cost of piecing one together.
I've been doing so much reading lately that I am 92.4% sure I know what I will need for the lift. I'm going to start at 3" to keep it simple, then if I feel like I want an extra 1.5" or so, I'll grab some shackles and spacers, then all of the other appropriate pieces to have a correct 4.5" lift. Brake lines, longer LCA's, SYE, etc etc...
I'm basically just curious about the possible extra cost of buying it all separate over buying it all together.
I have mulled over a frankenstein lift from the JY to save some cash, but ain't no body got time for dat.
Thanks for the opinions!!

Very good point, and I'd like to have 4.5, but only for looks. I can do everything I need on 3" and good tires with disconnects from what I'm understanding. So if I can start at 3, then decide if I want 4.5" later, that's kinda what I wanna do so I don't have to spend more on the extra parts needed for 4.5... if all I'm doing it for is looks...

I would start with 4.5" RE coils, adjustable track bar, adjustable lower control arms, longer sway bar links, for the front, and 3.5 RE springs with adjustable shackles in the rear with shocks of your choice.
