If you have 3" lift coils you could ad a spacer, but if you have 3" lift blocks(round spacers), your going to have to buy a larger lift kit, but thats going to require a lot of $$.

2"coil spacers and 2" lift shackles several companies sell them in a kit for a about a hundred bucks. I'm going to do mine in a month or two. Keep in mind that you'll want to extend your brake lines at 5" though.
I first bought a 3 in. lift for my jeep and soon later wanted more lift so looked for a cheap way to add inches. I added shackles in the rear and spacers up front. I ran into all kinds of problems with rear drive shaft and front tracking. ended up starting over and buying a whole new 4.5 kit. that's what i recommend. kits are better value than trying to by it piece by piece.

If he already has spacers, he doesn't necessarily have to get a whole new lift kit. V8 Grand Cherokee coil springs will net you about 1.5-2". For the rear, all you need is some Rough Country shackles.

add an adjustable track bar, lower control arms, extend your brakelines (cheap way is to relocate the mounts), SYE (for now you can get by with TC drop bracket), just in case get some longer u-bolts, a HD steering stabilizer... then you can add coil spacers and shackles. that's what i got.
