Default power steering boxes?

So I need a new power steering box...I have read about the durango boxes being beefier but want to double check what to do before buying anything. What do you all think I should do?

I'm pretty sure the 98 Durango steering box is a direct bolt on, I haven't done it but it's something Id like to do. Other than that the next popular thing is a stock box with a steering brace

Direct swap. Here is a good link. The picture links are broken now, but still very in detail description.

Holy ****!! I just priced a Durango box at Advance auto. $140 for the box WITH a $125 core.

Jesus they really want those cores back!!

You think they'd care if it was an XJ that was dropped off?

Nope just take off the pitman arm first.

Forget that noise. Parts like that I would rather go new for the peace of mind. And warranty. Maybe for non-mechanical parts, or something I can rebuild easily, but for a steering box I'll go new.

Do you need to replace anything for the box to work ? Or can you just slap in the box and be done with it ?

Slap it in and throw in a c-rok plate or homemade plate with spacers
