Default power brake delete

I'm in need of some extra room in the engine bay so I have been looking into removing my brake booster. As long as the mounts are in place and the rod/plunger remains untouched could I just massage and reshape my booster? Obviously breaking the seal would render the booster useless, but as long as I still have manual brakes, I'm cool with that.

uhh there are a million other things I'd remove before my friggin brakes. Relocate the battery, cowl intake to get rid of the airbox, get rid of all the ac crap. Don't mess with other people's lives

Uh, yeah. Marginal brakes to begin with.

The rest of us are adding late model boosters.

Kinda silly.

What in the world could be so much more important than brakes that you are considering removing the booster?!

dont remove, relocate.

Nearly every street rod worth its build has then under the floorboards. Ground clearance is a big issue to them. If interested look at the street rod aftermarket

I'll check on the booster relocation setups, but I really didn't want to reroute all the brake lines.

As for everyone else I'm glad you have no useful relevant information but decided to post anyway.

Peoples' lives are irrelevant? We ARE those people.

It's you who have blatant disregard for your fellow man by reducing the effectiveness of already marginal brakes in your quest for some kind of nirvanah look in your engine bay or whatever the hell you're looking for.

Of course, we're the *******s because we don't share your selfish dream..........

I still haven't found out what's more important than adequate braking.....

WTF? These things are hard enough to stop WITH power boosted brakes... You know if (when) you're involved in an accident you'll be charged, right? Relocate your airbox and battery!

We're all trying to brainstorm this booster delete idea but just can't wrap our heads around it....

Because braking was not the questions! I don't care about your uninformed decision about my truck, just had a specific question that I would see if there were specific answers to. But since you are correct and can't stay on point I'll go ahead a help you out. I have NO braking issues. My jeep weighs around 2500 lbs and is getting lighter, has rear GC brakes and svt cobra front brakes. Even with upgraded tires, suspension it still will easily lock the wheels up. Which means I have more brake then tire. On top of this, like I stated cars are completely functional with non boosted brakes.

Apparently you don't understand that nobody wants to help you delete essential safety features.

Have you ever driven a vehicle with disabled power brakes? It's not fun. And it's not the same as a vehicle that never had power brakes in the first place.

If you're so much smarter than us why don't you just make your own braking system? Why do you even need to ask?

PS - cars weighing less than 2500 lbs have power brakes too.
